Our Story
Los Tribilines’ journey in Puerto Morelos dates back to 1984 when Mr. Chan, our founder, forged a deep connection with these waters through fishing—a pursuit he passionately embraced until 1998. It was during this time that a unique vision emerged: the creation of the Puerto Morelos National Reef Park. Leading this initiative alongside local fishermen, Mr. Chan took a bold step to preserve not only the natural area but also the species that call it home.
This commitment to conservation was rooted in the understanding that protecting local species would not only enrich our lives economically but also ensure the long-term health of our ecosystem. Guided by the vision to preserve our natural heritage, we transitioned from commercial fishing to tourism activities.
Today, the legacy of Mr. Chan is continued by his family, and we proudly offer unique experiences such as fishing tours, cenote excursions, and reef snorkeling and diving adventures—each echoing the spirit of our founder’s love for these waters. We take pride in being part of the founding of the national Park and honoring the enduring legacy of Mr. Chan.
Commitment to Ecotourism:

We actively collaborate with local environmental heroes, such as the ‘Guardians of the Reef,’ to rescue endangered corals, and the ‘Community Turtle Brigade,’ dedicated to protecting endangered sea turtles.
